How long do I have the venue for?
You have access to the venue from 10:00 am until 11:00 pm the day of your event.
What time does music have to end?
Noise ordinance in Big Canoe requires we have music no later than 10:00 pm.
Can we bring in our own caterer?
Talk of the Town Catering & Special Events  is the exclusive caterer for The Chimneys at Big Canoe.
Do you offer tastings?

Once your event is confirmed, we offer one complimentary tasting for up to four guests. Tastings take place at the Talk of the Town Catering & Special Events office located in Roswell, Georgia.

What is the deposit?
The deposit required to hold The Chimneys at Big Canoe is the facility rental fee for the date you choose and is non-refundable.
When is our balance due?
Your balance and final guest count are due two weeks prior to your event. After the two week point your guest count may increase, but cannot decrease.
Can we bring in our own cake? Is there a cake cutting fee?

Sweet Caroline’s is our preferred cake vendor, with which we are pleased to offer complimentary cake cutting. If you wish to bring in a different cake vendor, you may, though they must be licensed & insured. The cake cutting fee for using a cake vendor other than Sweet Caroline’s is $1 per guest.

Do you allow candles?
We allow “tea light” style candles in glass votive holders. We also allow pillar-style candles which are three inches or shorter and are in a container that is taller than the candle to cover the flame.  No candles in candle stands, (lit or unlit) are permitted.  If any wax drips on any linens, renter will be responsible for the replacement cost of the linen.
What do you allow for the wedding couple's sendoff?

Bubbles, bells, ribbon wands, and lavender are permitted for the couple’s departure.  Rose petals, rice, bird seed, confetti, silly string, glitter, sparklers or fireworks are strictly prohibited. Rose petals are allowed for ceremony decoration and flower girl use only. For questions on any other sendoff style, please contact Kristen Curles.

What is the capacity of The Chimneys?

The Chimneys is made up of several rooms inside & a beautiful wrap around porch. Our capacity varies based on several factors such as: format for the meal, seating arrangements, music format, dance floor location, etc. Utilizing the three inside rooms & outside wraparound porch we can accommodate from 25 up to 200 seats for guests. We can host up to 250 guests for a cocktail reception with up to 50% seating.

Can we bring in our own vendors?

Yes, you are welcome to use your own vendors (with the exception of catering) for your wedding. Please keep in mind that you must use professional wedding vendors & your DJ/Band, Photographer, Videographer, & Cake vendors must be insured.

Do we have to have a wedding coordinator?

Yes, The Chimneys requires you to have a day-of wedding coordinator for your rehearsal & the day of your wedding. This person will be the liaison between the couple, guests & vendors & in charge of keeping the wedding running smoothly & on time. Please ask about our preferred day-of wedding coordinators.

Do you allow for a ceremony rehearsal if the ceremony will be at The Chimneys?

Yes. Included in the fee is up to a 1-hour block of time the day prior to your wedding for a ceremony rehearsal. The rehearsal will be scheduled in the morning between 10am & 11am. The time will be confirmed & finalized no earlier than 3-weeks prior to the wedding date.

Can we bring in our own alcohol?

Yes. The Chimneys does not have an alcohol permit so all alcoholic beverages & alcoholic &/or non-alcoholic mixers are to be provided by the client. Talk of the Town will provide for an additional charge the: licensed bartenders, glassware (mixed drink/water/soda, cocktail, beer, & wine), ice, coolers, cocktail napkins, bar tables & linens, as well as the set-up & breakdown of the bar. Other than mixers, Talk of the Town must provide all non-alcoholic beverages.

Do you have any minimums?

Yes, we have a guest count minimum of 25 guests for all events at The Chimneys.
